Description

Satie wrote the music which was the inspiration for this painting. Gymnopedie No. 1 evokes the inner reflection we so greatly miss in our culture of hurry and busyness. I wanted to capture the feeling of watching the sunrise as we look forward to the day and beginning with a peaceful moment of silence.
